Disclaimer
Important limitations on what hpt.group is, what it is not, and how its content should be used.
Last updated: 1 May 2026.
1. General nature of Site content
The information on hpt.group is general commentary on cross-border structuring, banking, tax residency, mobility, fiduciary and licensing matters. It is intended to inform. It is not, and is not intended to be, legal, tax, accounting, investment, financial, regulatory or any other form of professional advice for any specific person or matter. Tax and regulatory rules vary materially by jurisdiction and change frequently; information that is accurate at the date of publication may not be accurate when read.
2. No advice without engagement
Specific advice requires a written engagement letter executed between you and the relevant HPT Group entity. Until an engagement letter is in place, nothing on the Site, in correspondence with HPT, in social-media content authored by HPT or its representatives, or in any informal communication, constitutes professional advice. We accept no liability for action taken or not taken on the basis of Site content alone.
3. Forward-looking statements
Site content may include statements about regulatory developments, market expectations or jurisdiction-specific trends. Such statements reflect HPT's current view at the date of publication and are not guarantees of future outcomes. Many of the matters discussed depend on legislative and regulatory decisions outside our control.
4. Accuracy and completeness
We take reasonable care to ensure Site content is accurate at the date of publication. We do not guarantee it is accurate, complete or up to date thereafter. Articles older than 24 months are explicitly flagged where they remain accessible. Statistics, fees, timelines and regulator references are illustrative of typical engagements and may not apply to your specific matter.
5. Jurisdiction-specific notices
United States. Citizenship by investment, residency by investment and related programmes may have US tax-reporting implications for US persons regardless of where the programme is administered. US persons must seek qualified US tax counsel before engaging in any cross-border programme. The Site does not constitute investment advice under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. Nothing on the Site is an offer or solicitation of securities for the purposes of the Securities Act of 1933 or applicable state law.
United Kingdom. The Site is not a financial promotion within the meaning of section 21 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. HPT does not carry on UK regulated activities; where a matter requires a UK regulated activity, the work is delivered by a separately engaged FCA-authorised counterparty.
European Economic Area. The Site is not a public offer of securities under the Prospectus Regulation. Where a matter falls within MiCA, MiFID II, the Funds regimes or the AML Directive, the regulated work is delivered by a separately engaged licensed counterparty in the relevant member state, not by HPT.
Hong Kong. Information on the Site is general and is not a solicitation of services regulated under the Securities and Futures Ordinance. HPT does not hold a Trust or Company Service Provider licence. Trust or company service activities required in connection with an engagement are carried out by licensed local providers we introduce and brief.
United Arab Emirates. Services delivered in the UAE are subject to local-zone licensing and to UAE Anti-Money Laundering legislation. The Site is not a promotion of regulated financial services in the UAE.
6. Third-party content
References on the Site to third parties (banks, regulators, formation agents, counsel, trustees, publications) are for information. They do not imply endorsement and we are not responsible for the content, accuracy or current status of third-party material.
7. Conflicts and limitations
Where Site content conflicts with the terms of an engagement letter, the engagement letter governs. Where it conflicts with mandatory local law, the local law governs. Nothing in this Disclaimer is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
