Every HPT engagement moves through the same four stages: enquiry, diagnosis, blueprint, implementation. Most matters complete inside 60 to 120 days, and we'll tell you within 48 hours whether we're the right firm for yours. No drawn-out pitch, no mystery process.
A short, confidential intake form. We decide within 48 hours whether we are the right fit for your matter.
Working sessions with the principal director. We probe assumptions, model scenarios and surface the real question.
A written memorandum that any banker, auditor or counsel can read and defend. No surprises at implementation.
We manage formations, bank openings, licensing and documentation, and stay on as a long-term retained counsel.
Engagement letters, always
Before we start work, you sign — and we sign — an engagement letter. It states the scope, the fee, the timeline, and the named director leading the work. If scope changes, we re-issue. We do not bill outside the letter.
Director-led, not delegated
A principal director is named on your file from kick-off. They run discovery sessions personally, draft the recommendations personally, and own the matter until close. Associates support — they do not drive.
Written down, every time
Every recommendation arrives as a memorandum your banker, auditor and counsel can read and defend. If a recommendation cannot be put in writing, it isn't a recommendation we will make.
Real implementation
We don't hand you a blueprint and disappear. Most engagements continue into implementation: we form the entities, place the banking, manage the licenses, and document the substance. Then we stay on as retained counsel.
Long-term relationships
Our average client engages us four times in the first five years. We have several clients in their second decade with us. The structure that's right today won't still be right in five years — we expect to be the firm that updates it.
