Our People
Senior directors.
Direct access. No hand-offs.
Every client engagement at HPT Group is led by a named principal advisor from the first call through to the final deliverable. You work directly with the people who designed your strategy — not the people assigned to it after the sale.
The Advisory Team
Three principals. Combined experience spanning 65+ jurisdictions.
William Hodgson
Chief Executive Officer & Principal Advisor
William spent over a decade working at the intersection of offshore tax law, international entity structuring, and cross-border wealth planning before founding HPT Group — building deep expertise across more than 65 jurisdictions that few advisors can match. He is one of a small number of independent advisors in the market who can speak with equal authority on corporate structure design, personal tax residency planning, international banking strategy, and citizenship pathways — advising from first principles rather than off-the-shelf solutions. At HPT Group, William personally leads every senior advisory engagement from scoping through delivery; clients work directly with him, not with a team of analysts. Known across his client base for unusually direct, frank advice, William has become the trusted first call for founders, multi-jurisdictional families, and privately held businesses navigating complex international transitions.
“The clients who come to us having already spent money elsewhere invariably say the same thing: they wished they had started with a frank written opinion rather than a verbal reassurance.”
Gabriel Pincus
Chief Financial Officer & Head of Growth
Gabriel brings a background that spans institutional capital markets, fintech regulatory licensing, and high-growth commercial strategy — having worked with regulated financial institutions and emerging payment businesses across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia before joining HPT Group. His deep familiarity with banking compliance frameworks, EMI licensing regimes, and institutional due diligence processes gives HPT Group a distinct edge in navigating the increasingly complex intersection of offshore structuring and financial regulation. Within the firm, Gabriel oversees financial strategy and commercial development, ensuring that HPT's capabilities continue to expand into new markets and client segments without sacrificing the quality of its core advisory work. He maintains a network of senior relationships across private banks, tier-one custodians, and licensing authorities that directly benefits clients who require institutional-grade financial infrastructure.
“A licensing strategy that cannot be banked is not a strategy — it is a liability. Banking access is never an afterthought in any engagement I run.”
Jack Burgess
Head of Client Onboarding
Jack's background in compliance, KYC, and regulated financial services means he understands both sides of the onboarding equation — the client experience and the institutional requirements that shape it. He joined HPT Group having worked within compliance and client management functions at regulated advisory firms, where he developed a forensic understanding of what banks, service providers, and regulators require at the point of engagement. At HPT Group, Jack manages the entire onboarding journey for every new client: from initial qualification and due diligence coordination through to documentation, service provider introductions, and ensuring the transition from prospect to active engagement runs without friction. His systematic approach means that by the time a client reaches the advisory stage, every procedural and compliance requirement has already been handled — leaving the senior team to focus entirely on delivering the advice.
“The onboarding experience a client has in the first two weeks tells them everything they need to know about how the rest of the engagement will be run. We take that seriously.”
How We Engage
One advisor. First call to final deliverable.
Every mandate accepted by HPT Group is assigned to a named principal advisor at the point of engagement. That advisor leads every substantive interaction from the initial diagnostic session through to implementation completion. There are no internal handoffs, no mid-engagement team changes, and no instances where a junior team member substitutes for the person who conducted the original scoping.
This model is intentional and non-negotiable. The alternative — selling work at the senior level and delivering it through a team of analysts — is the dominant model in large professional services firms. It is also the reason large firms consistently disappoint private clients on complex international mandates.
When your structure is under scrutiny from a bank's compliance team, or when an unexpected regulatory development requires a real-time judgment call, you need access to the person who understands your situation in full — not a relationship manager who must triage your call before routing it internally.
Named advisor from day one
You are introduced to your principal advisor during the application review — before any engagement letter is signed. You know exactly who is responsible for your mandate.
Diagnostic session — no analysts in the room
The first substantive advisory session is conducted by your named principal, who has reviewed your full application in advance. You are not repeating your situation to someone who has not read it.
Written deliverable authored by the advisor
The Blueprint or memorandum you receive is written by the principal advisor, not assembled from templates by a junior team. It reflects the judgment of someone who has held your situation entirely.
Implementation led by the same person
Coordination with formation agents, banks, and service providers is managed by your advisor — not delegated to a project management layer that introduces errors and delays.
